1. Which Bulk Material do I need?
   The answer depends on what the material will be used for. Some options include:

1. Soil Amendment / Compost:
   We offer two types of bulk compost.  Use it to amend native soil, add nutrients and organic matter, improve texture, add beneficial bacteria, and stimulate plant growth.  Also great as a Topper before planting grass seed or sod, or to create a custom planting mix for veggie bins or flower beds.

1. All Around Organic Compost:  All Around Organic Compost is OMRI Listed (Organic Materials Review Institute), has a consistent, fine texture, and no smell.       
2. Superior Compost:  Compost with a slightly coarser texture.  Use it to create a lighter soil for easier planting. 


2. Mulch:
   Mulch is used to (a) retain moisture, (b) prevent weeds, (c) add nutrients (as the material breaks down), (d) protect plants from frost, (e) prevent erosion, and (f) give the garden a “finished” look.  Many materials can be used as ‘Mulch’, including gravel, bark, crushed granite, or landscape fabric.  We offer a selection of attractive, natural mulches, including:

1. Walk-On Bark
2. Redwood Bark
3. Gorilla Hair
4. Cedar (subject to availability)
5. Special Order Mulches (such as black redwood bark).


3. Planting Mix / Fill:


1. 50/50 Mix (Compost/Topsoil):  Use our 50/50 to replace or improve poor native soil, raise the soil level, fill a new planting bed, or fill behind a retaining wall.
